Total time: 10 minutes + 1 hour cooking time (passive)
Serves: Makes 1 1/2 cups
3 1/2 cups ripe pears, chopped
1/2 cup Medjool dates, pitted and chopped
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1 teaspoon coriander
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 whole cloves
1 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard seeds
1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cover and cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
2. Chill in refrigerator before serving.
