American Chop Suey

Total Time: 35 minutes

Serves: 4

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions directions; set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in large pot over medium heat, warm buttery coconut oil. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant; stir in salt, pepper and spices until well combined. Continue cooking a few minutes.
  3. Add beef and water, breaking down beef with wooden spoon. When beef starts to brown, stir in chopped vegetables. Stir fry a few minutes.
  4. Pour in tomato sauce. Cover pot; let steam until meat is cooked and vegetables are tender.
  5. Mix in pasta and nutritional yeast; continue cooking 1 to 2 more minutes.
