I had some epic organic Mexican food in Charlottesville this weekend. I was finally able to try FARMacy for the first time since it opened in January. I’m so grateful this is in town now! It was so incredibly delicious.

I had the Vegan Burrito but with corn tortillas to keep it gluten-free. The burrito had shitake, cremini, and lions Maine mushrooms. They are known for their “Super Naan Taco” and use organic hormone-free meats from local farms. I loved the local kombucha and they also have adult beverage options from local breweries, and so much more! I’m so excited for you to try this if you live in Charlottesville or are visiting! I wish this concept of organic, Non-GMO, and local Mexican food was everywhere.

FARMacy started as a food truck and now they also have a cafe located at the end of The Downtown Mall 222 West Main St Charlottesville, VA 22902 (located in Code Building courtyard). They strive to bring high-quality ingredients to your plate. They use a mix of local, hormone-free cheddar with raw cheddar and Monterey jack cheese. They aim to use as many organic ingredients as possible. How epic!

I recommend checking out FARMacy, you will not be disappointed. This is an example of how food can be incredibly ridiculously tasty AND healthy at the same time. It’s a win-win situation for everyone. FARMacy also offers catering if you need anything for your office or event.

I am passionate about helping businesses like this because I get the mission, just like all other organic and natural restaurants they take a financial cut because organic foods cost so much more than conventional foods. The owner Jessica is a nutritionist while her husband Gabino is the head chef. Jessica's motto is "Nourish your body while satisfying your cravings."

People get into this business because they are passionate about it and believe in how good quality food can help people and the community. So when you eat at FARMacy you can feel good about your purchase and investment in supporting them and the local businesses and farms they work with!

FARMacy manages to keep its prices at a great price so you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a reasonable price. It’s much cheaper than dining at a restaurant downtown - and you are getting to enjoy the health benefits of superfoods in your Mexican food! They put kelp powder and Spirulina in the super guac. I love that FARMacy supports and sources from local farms and businesses. See the menu here

Let me know if you get to try it, I can't wait to hear!
