Food journal for Road Trip Day from VA to NYC, Trying Blendtopia Frozen Smoothie Mixes, Food Prep for the Road Trip and Dinner in NYC

 Hi Everyone! I had a busy traveling day and road tripped from Virginia to New York City and had so much fun!!

I started my day by trying Blendtopia Superfood Smoothie Kit in the Glow flavor. This blend has pineapple, mango, spinach, banana, flaxseed, hemp seed, goji berries, lucuma, and turmeric. I love how they use very natural ingredients. This is so easy to make in a rush, all you need to do is add your choice of liquid. I added plant milk and Nutiva Hemp Seed Protein Powder Additionally, Blendtopia is organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and vegan!!

 Meal prep for travel is SO important! I was in the car for 6 hours,  so I made lots of hydrating, fresh food for the trip! I made sure to pack some homemade green juice, chlorophyll water, salad from my garden, and roasted vegetable popcorn from the vegetables I roasted last night for snacks!! And of course, I stopped to get a green smoothie bowl from The Juice Laundry on my way out. 

Once I got to the city, I stopped in at Wholefoods for dessert and some things for dinner with my good friend, Gloria Pope! Gloria is the founder of Mbrace.Life and is also a health and fitness coach. Mbrace.Life creates natural products like soaps, lotions, and oils that enhance everyday life and overall wellbeing.  Gloria made turkey burgers with salad for dinner. The salad came from Urban Remedy and they have several options for different salads and bowls. Last but not least... for dessert I picked up Smart Sweets Swedish Fish, Nelly's Candy Bar, and FINE & RAW chocolate and hazelnut spread! Nelly's is an awesome candy brand because all the candy is made with organic, nutrient-dense whole foods, and fair trade Italian dark chocolate. There are several flavors from caramel nougat, to double chocolate, and so much more! Additionally, the FINE & RAW  brand is amazing and their products are free of refined sugars, soy, dairy, and gluten. With our salad, I tried Organic Girl Tropical Ginger Dressing, which is a vegan, non-GMO, and organic dressing made with simple ingredients.
