Reducing Anxiety with Chamomile and a Relaxing Bedtime Tea

Chamomile tea can be effective in relaxing the mood and inducing sleep. You can also take chamomile in pill form, as an extract, or as an essential oil. Studies have been conducted that show chamomile has anxiolytic and antidepressant effects.40 Chamomile tea also offers the great benefits of relaxing the muscles and reducing irritability.

Relaxing Bedtime Tea

Drink this tea before bed if you would like help having a beautiful, deep, nourishing sleep. The ingredients are all known for inducing sleep. This recipe is as easy as mixing a few kinds of teas made from teabags with liquid extract. These are good essentials to have in your pantry for whenever you want a relaxing evening.

Total time: 10 minutes

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

2 cups filtered water

1 chamomile tea bag

1 valerian root tea bag

1 passionflower tea bag or liquid extract

1 rosehip tea bag or liquid extract

Actions:

Boil the water in a kettle and pour into a mug. Add in the tea bags and let steep for 5 minutes. (Liquid extracts can be added at the end without steeping. Enjoy.
