DIY Natural Holiday Gifts You Can Make at Home

There’s something so meaningful about giving gifts that feel personal - gifts you can touch, make, and share from the heart. You can’t go wrong with simple, earthy ideas that are fun to put together and genuinely useful. And if you have children, this is such a sweet thing to do together letting them help create these beautiful little gifts for friends, teachers, neighbors, or family. Kids get so excited to add their own little touches.

Below are three of my favorite clean, Earth Diet friendly DIY holiday gifts using ingredients you probably already have at home — including two of my top clean staples: Redmond Clay and Redmond Real Salt. These are simple, pure, and wholesome ingredients that make the most beautiful spa-like gifts.

1. Mineral Detox Bath Soak Jars

A calming, cleansing soak that supports the skin and body.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup Redmond Real Salt

• 1 cup Epsom salt

• ½ cup Redmond Clay

• 10–15 drops essential oil (lavender, eucalyptus, frankincense, peppermint)

Optional: dried rose petals or dried lavender

Actions:

1. Add Redmond Real Salt, Epsom salt, and Redmond Clay to a mixing bowl.

2. Break up any clumps so the texture stays smooth.

3. Add essential oils and stir until fully combined.

4. Add dried petals if desired.

5. Transfer into mason jars for gifting.

Packaging Idea:

Cover the lid with a small square of recycled kraft paper, secure the ring, and tie with twine. Add a handwritten tag kids love decorating these.

2. Glow Clay Face Mask Kit

A mineral-rich, skin-tightening mask that brightens, purifies, and supports a natural glow.

Ingredients
(to include in the gift):

• Small jar with Redmond Clay powder

• Small bottle or vial of rosewater or water

• Optional: a dropper bottle with tea tree or lavender essential oil

• Small reusable bowl (bamboo, glass, or ceramic)

• Wooden spoon or mixing stick

Actions (to print on the included card):

1. Scoop 1 tablespoon Redmond Clay into the bowl.

2. Add 1 tablespoon water or rosewater.

3. Stir with the wooden spoon until it forms a smooth, creamy paste.

4. Apply to face for 10–15 minutes until it gently firms.

5. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Packaging Idea:

Wrap the bowl, spoon, and clay jar in unbleached cotton or a kraft paper bag. Tie with twine and tuck in a sprig of rosemary for a natural scent.

3. Hydrating Salt Body Scrub

A clean, spa-like exfoliant that leaves skin soft and glowing.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup Redmond Real Salt

• ½ cup melted coconut oil

• 1 tsp vanilla extract or essential oil

• Optional: lemon zest or grated ginger for a festive aroma

Actions:

1. Combine Redmond Real Salt and melted coconut oil in a bowl.

2. Add vanilla or your favorite essential oil.

3. Stir until the mixture becomes a thick, grainy paste.

4. Add zest or ginger if desired.

5. Spoon into jars and seal.

Packaging Idea:

Glass jars look beautiful with simple twine or ribbon. Kids can draw little labels or holiday doodles for the front of the jar.

Earth Diet Style Final Touches

• Keep everything low-waste with recycled or compostable packaging.

• Mason jars or cleaned jars from past pantry items work perfectly.

• Add handwritten labels, twine, rosemary, pine, or fresh eucalyptus as décor.

• Tie a small bundle of eucalyptus to the outside of any gift — it looks beautiful and the recipient can hang it in their shower for a natural spa-steam moment.

• Simple, clean, earth-sourced ingredients always make the best gifts.

These DIY gifts are thoughtful, grounding, and meaningful and they bring that clean, natural touch we all love during the holidays. They’re beautiful, affordable, and from the heart… which is always the best kind of gift.

The bests gifts are the ones that nourish our bodies as well as don’t cause damage to the environment.
