When in Orlando, Reyes Mezcaleria is the spot for Earth-Diet-approved Mexican food! The mission of the team at Reyes is to honor the cuisine, spirits, and culture of Mexico by offering thoughtfully prepared cuisine using the best ingredients possible. They take the time to build relationships with regional vendors through educational visits and sustainable partnerships.
While in town for the School Nutrition Association convention the SunButter team stopped in for dinner to give them a try. Reyes has a variety of healthy options including an epic margarita made with only lime juice, agave, and tequila! A great option for a healthier cocktail.
We had the guacamole, ceviche, and elote for appetizers, they were all so fresh and the ceviche came with octopus and shrimp, very unique!
For dinner I had the sea bass, it came as the whole fish and was delicious. Our table also had chile relleno and steak, both looked amazing!
When eating out, if you are near the coast, choosing seafood is typically the cleanest choice. Although this isn’t a fully organic restaurant it is definitely a healthier option when traveling! I definitely recommend checking out Reyes when you are in Orlando next!
