I had another great week in Charlottesville filled with great food, great weather, and great company!!

I have had a green bowl every day from The Juice Laundry. They are a local Charlottesville, plant-based, organic restaurant with smoothies, juices, bowls, chili, and so much more! In addition to the green bowls, I got their "blended brew" smoothie, which is cashew butter, oats, banana, dates, and cold brew coffee.

I loved using The Juice Press products this week! I used their taco seasoning and plant burger to make taco salad one night and then had a salad with the plant burger another night! The ingredients in the taco seasoning are amazing and so flavorful! The Juice Press is plant-based, USDA organic, never processed, and sustainability-minded.  Additionally, they do shipping nationwide. I also got Liana's Anxiety Free Supplements for the week, which helps manage stress and anxiety, supports the immune and nervous system and supports focus and mood balance! Lastly, I added Primal Kitchen: Avocado Oil-Based Dressing and Marinade, Balsamic Vinaigrette, and Primal Kitchen: Organic Ketchup on my burger and salad.

For lunch, I made a salad one day and added in some broccoli sprouts, carrots, and avocado. Additionally, I added some homemade sushi with the salad! I got the "Monster" smoothie from Juice Laundry, which is cacao, almond butter, banana, dates, and their house almond milk to go with my salad and sushi. Lastly, I made my Fresh Spring Rolls with Sunbutter Summer Sauce and used Liquid Aminos as an alternative to soy sauce because there is no table salt added and uses vegetable protein from soybeans and purified water. I love using Sunbutter, which is an awesome alternative to peanut butter and made from simple ingredients.

In an ABC news feature, I spoke about recipes that reduce anxiety, here is the link to the feature: ABC News Feature: Recipes that Reduce Anxiety. I featured my smoothie bowl recipe using banana, cauliflower, and Sunbutter.

Since Spring is in full bloom here in Charlottesville, I am so excited to finally eat from my garden!! I have everything from lettuce, strawberries, broccoli, and waiting for cucumbers. So excited to use these in the kitchen.

I tried Hamiltons' at First and Main on the Downtown Mall of Charlottesville with friends and had the best time and best food.

I added some of my favorite snacks and sweets! Monty's Cashew Cream Cheese is a plant-based, dairy-free cream cheese made of 100% Organic Fair Trade Cashews and real plant food ingredients. Next, I made granola and added raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, pumpkin seeds, pecans, and honey. For desserts, I love Smart Sweets: Red Twists and all of their other candies. They only use 2g of sugar and have 110 calories for the whole bag, which is 92% less sugar than the other licorice candies. Lastly, they are plant-based, gluten-free, and non-GMO. Another dessert option is Hu Chocolate Covered Almond Hunks, which is a vegan, gluten-free, and organic sweet!

Some more fun in Charlottesville and ended that Tuesday playing pickleball at The Boar's Head Resort! The next morning I joined the Prolyfyck Run Crew! They do group runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 6 AM. This run was to raise awareness for the missing indigenous people, such an awesome cause and club!
