Food Journal for the Weekend: Road-trip Food in Virginia, Lunch at the Neighborhood in Lynchburg, King Family Winery, Pancakes for Sunday Breakfast, Dinner with Juice Press Vegan Taco Mix and Dessert Simple Mills New Cookie Dough Mix with Coconut Bliss Ice Cream!
May 11, 2021I had an amazing weekend road-tripping around Virginia, exploring more of Charlottesville, and making the best food with the best ingredients!!
Of course, I had to stop in at The Juice Laundry and get a green bowl. Juice Laundry is an entirely plant-based and 100% organic, local restaurant in Charlottesville.
Since it was the weekend, I decided to start my day with a treat and make pancakes with blueberries and raspberries. With the pancakes, I had Chlorophyll water and took Liana's Anxiety Free Supplements to start on the right foot. Adding drops of chlorophyll to water is an easy way to add some greens to your day. Chlorophyll helps to reduce inflammation of the skin, improves the quality of red blood cells, helps detoxify the body, aids in weight loss, and is even a natural deodorant. Additionally, taking the anxiety-free supplements supports mood balance and focus, on top of promoting nervous and immune system support.
I spent one day at King Family Vineyard just outside of Charlottesville and had a great day of good wine and good company! We ended the day stopping at The Lawn of UVA to see the beautiful campus.
We road tripped to Lynchburg, VA one day and explored there and then stumbled upon some honeysuckles! and had an amazing dinner at The Neighbors Place, which had SOOOO many options for everyone. I had Lobster and Mahi and got Numi Organic Tea with my dinner.
I loved using The Juice Press products again!! I used the rest of the taco seasoning and made some tacos with cilantro, avocado, carrots, and lettuce. The ingredients in the taco seasoning are amazing and so flavorful! The Juice Press is plant-based, USDA organic, never processed, and sustainability-minded. Additionally, they do shipping nationwide.
Mmm... I made warm freshly baked Simple Mills Chocolate Chip Cookies with delicious, plant-based vanilla Coconut Bliss Ice cream! I love using Simple Mills products because they use plant-based, nutrient-dense ingredients that are gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free, corn-free, and dairy-freeTo finish out the weekend, I had a nightcap of wine from King Family and some homemade green juice!
On Sunday morning, I went to The Point VA Church for a socially distanced, safe service! It is so nice to finally be attending services in person again!
